Dobie Williams became the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD Deputy Superintendent of Business Operations on June 1, 2021. In this role, Mr. Williams is the district’s Chief Financial Officer and also oversees departments for payroll, budget, finance, purchasing, facilities/maintenance, child nutrition, and transportation.

Prior to moving to Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD, Mr. Williams served in a similar role for Granbury ISD as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations from May 2014 until June 2021.   He also served in a similar role for Clyde Consolidated ISD, where he worked from 2005-2014. He began his school business career in 2002 with Colorado ISD as the Business Manager and Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to making the transition to school finance, Mr. Williams owned and operated a family business in Colorado City. He also spent ten years in the financial industry working for a savings and loan, a bank, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). While in the finance industry, he served in various capacities including real estate development officer, commercial and real estate loan officer, and loan department manager as well as serving as a real estate specialist and an environmental coordinator for the FDIC.

Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Angelo State University and a Master’s degree from Texas A&M University Commerce.  He is a member of the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) and has earned the Registered Texas School Business Administrator (RTSBA) designation.  Williams also has served on TASBO’s Governmental Relations Committee, a state level standing committee that serves as an advisory group to the TASBO Board of Directors on matters relating to state government and legislative issues.

Mr. Williams and his wife, Michele, have two grown daughters, Kenadee and Bradee and one grandson, Coyt.  In his spare time Mr. Williams enjoys playing golf, tinkering with muscle cars and old trucks as well as serving his church and the community through various civic and community organizations.
